Day by day
Day 1
Nairobi to the Mara
Pickup from your hotel or JKIA at 7am, the Rift Valley escarpment viewpoint, and a late lunch at camp. First game drive from 4pm along the Talek river.
Day 2
Full day in the reserve
Out at 6:15am with a packed breakfast for the Musiara marshes and the Bila Shaka lion pride. Back to camp for the middle of the day, out again until sunset.
Day 3
Mara triangle & river crossings
A full-day drive west across the Mara river into the triangle, where the crossing points are. Lunch under an acacia, and an evening looking for the resident leopard.
Day 4
Return to Nairobi
An optional short drive at dawn, breakfast, then the road back to Nairobi. Arrival mid-afternoon, with drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
