Wild Habitat Adventures began in 2014 with one vehicle and two guides who had spent a decade driving other companies’ itineraries. We knew where the animals were in February and where they were in September, and we were tired of routes written by people who had never sat in the Mara at 6am.
The first year was eleven trips. We now run a little over two hundred a year and we have deliberately not grown faster than we can guide. Every itinerary is still written by someone who has driven it.
We are a Kenyan company, registered in Nairobi, licensed by KATO, and we own our vehicles rather than subcontracting them. It costs more and it is the reason our breakdowns are rare and our guides stay.
