Where you will be
Day by day
Day 1
Arrive Nairobi
Airport pickup, a night in the city and a full trip briefing with your consultant.
Day 2
Amboseli
Drive south for elephants against Kilimanjaro, with an afternoon drive on arrival.
Day 3
Amboseli to the Mara
A short flight across to the reserve, with drives on both ends of the day.
Day 4
Mara reserve
A full day in the reserve with a bush breakfast and an evening at the river.
Day 5
Mara conservancy
Off-road driving, a walking safari and a night drive, none of which the reserve allows.
Day 6
Cross into Tanzania
Border formalities and transfer into northern Serengeti.
Day 7
Serengeti crossings
A full day at the Mara river crossing points.
Day 8
Central Serengeti
Drive south through the park to the Seronera valley.
Day 9
Ngorongoro
A morning drive, then transfer to the crater rim for the afternoon viewpoints.
Day 10
Crater floor
A full day on the floor of the caldera, back on the rim by late afternoon.
Day 11
Fly to Uganda
Flights via Arusha and Entebbe, with an overnight on Lake Victoria.
Day 12
Bwindi
A morning flight south-west and an afternoon at a forest-edge lodge.
Day 13
Gorilla trek
Briefing at the ranger post, then one hour with a habituated gorilla family.
Day 14
Batwa, Kisoro & departure
A community morning and a walk on the forest edge, then the flight to Entebbe with a day room before international departures.
