Day by day
Day 1
Nairobi to the Mara
Road or short flight into the reserve, with an afternoon drive on arrival.
Day 2
Mara reserve
A full day across the reserve, positioned at the river in the afternoon if the herds are close.
Day 3
Mara conservancies
Move to a conservancy for off-road driving, night drives and a guided walk, all of which the reserve does not allow.
Day 4
Conservancy day
Dawn drive, a bush breakfast, and the afternoon with a guide on foot.
Day 5
Cross into Tanzania
Border formalities and the transfer into northern Serengeti, arriving at a mobile camp near Kogatende.
Day 6
The Mara river crossings
A full day at the crossing points with breakfast and lunch in the vehicle.
Day 7
Northern Serengeti
Lamai wedge in the morning, with a long evening drive for cheetah on the open plains.
Day 8
Central Serengeti
Transfer south with drives all the way, arriving in the Seronera valley by late afternoon.
Day 9
Seronera valley
Full day among the highest predator densities in the park, with an optional balloon flight at dawn.
Day 10
Fly out
A morning drive, then the flight to Arusha or Kilimanjaro for your onward connection.
