Dates, rough budget, how many of you, and what would make the trip worth it. A paragraph is enough to start.
Six things we are good at
How it works
01
You tell us the shape of it
02
We write a route
Within one working day you get a day-by-day itinerary with named camps and a total price, not a range.
03
We rewrite it
Almost nobody takes the first draft. We move days, swap camps and change the budget until it is right.
04
You travel, we stay reachable
Deposit confirms the camps. Your consultant and a Nairobi number stay with you for the whole trip.
Questions we get asked
For the Mara and Serengeti river crossings, July to October. For Amboseli elephants and clear views of Kilimanjaro, January to March. Green season, April to June, is the cheapest, the emptiest and the best for birds, with a real chance of rain. Gorilla trekking works year-round but the trails are hardest in April and November.
Our Kenya trips start around $860 for three days and run to about $9,400 for the fifteen-day three-country tour. Mid-range camps with a private guide and vehicle land between $380 and $520 per person per day. Park fees are a third of that and are not negotiable by anyone.
From about six upwards, yes, with the right camps and shorter drives. Below six most camps will not take them and long game drives are miserable for everyone. Gorilla trekking has a hard minimum age of fifteen.
Yellow fever is required for entry to Kenya and Uganda if arriving from an endemic country, and malaria prophylaxis is strongly advised everywhere we operate. Kenya uses an electronic travel authorisation, Tanzania and Uganda issue e-visas, and the East Africa Tourist Visa covers all three. We send a checklist on booking.
Six to nine months for July to October, and as early as you can for gorilla permits, which are capped daily and often gone a year out. Green season can often be arranged inside a month.
International flights, visas, travel insurance, tips and anything personal. Everything else in your itinerary is included and priced before you pay a deposit. We do not add fuel surcharges later.
